When Should I Start Brushing My Babies Teeth?

That is a great question and one of my favorite areas of interest – infant oral health!  You can begin caring for your baby’s mouth at birth by wiping the gums with a soft infant toothbrush or a clean cloth.  As soon as the first teeth appear, start brushing twice daily with an infant/training toothpaste and an age-appropriate toothbrush.  You should continue using a fluoride-free toothpaste until your child is able to spit out the toothpaste.
