  • Provided oral health education and screenings for children, teachers, and parents  in local day 

care centers and homes in Orange County; provided follow-up services to ensure children who needed care obtained it  

SALUD Dental Care Center, Commerce City, Colorado 

  • Four-week rotation at a public health dental center offering experience in pulpotomies, stainless 

steel crowns, knee-to-knee exams, infant dental care, nitrous oxide sedation, and treatment of pediatric emergencies, Summer 2005 

Wake Medical Center Dental Clinic, Raleigh, NC 

  • Four-week rotation offering experience in treating medically compromised patients in hospital 

setting and operating room with general anesthesia, Summer 2005 

First Health Dental Center, Raeford, NC / Southern Pines, NC 

  • Two-week extramural rotation at a rural, public health dental center with a patient population 

limited to children of low-income groups, Summer 2003
